 ABOUT US

Elite Development F.C ( C.O.E ) Centre Of excellence was founded by Mr Anthony Holder the Academy Director in the heart of The UK's footballing capital, South London with the idea to bring the Elite development of football to the masses. Born out of an idea which is focused around a global style of play, utilising all technical and tactical aspects of the game. Emphasis and approach are aimed towards teaching and setting all players from a young age more individualised targets and place high importance on the requirement of attaining a higher footballing IQ as well as being able to implement those skills on the field.

PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE

"We are more than just a club"
"To be Elite you must believe you are Elite"
Are just a few of our core beliefs and values.
Founded hard work, passion, desire, honesty, respect, discipline; integrity, fun and innovation the Elite Development C.O.E Academy has been created to make a significant impact to our country and the worlds sporting world, challenging the age old traditional concepts and approaches that provided little or no result to young people’s experience and achievement in football. We deliver that vision through our Experienced, innovative and passionate coaching staff who work tirelessly to find new ways encourage and inspire each Individual to be the most successful player and person they can be. It is our aim to help develop creative, confident, intelligent young people in a professional setting and exciting atmosphere, giving them the tools to overcome adversity, surpass their greatest expectations and aspirations in life.

WE HAVE FUN

Whilst having a very creative vision and structured training program we certainly place emphasis on having fun very high on the agenda and without fun, learning can be compromised and a individuals confidence, passion and joy for the game can diminish.

It is paramount to us that every academy player’s motivation and passion for the game is always encouraged and built upon in every way possible.

BRIDGING THE GAP

We aim to provide a tangible bridging process between the grassroots scene where the emphasis is placed on development, fun, freedom and being creative with little pressure to the highly paced professional scene where players must deal with copious amounts of pressure, advancement is tactics, technology, media, whilst still having fun, achieving their targets and surpassing their aspirations.

A few great examples of local South London players who have made it through the grassroots stage and on to academy level to compete at the highest stage in Europe and internationally are: Joe Gomez, Callum Hudosn-Odoi, Wilfred Zaha, Victor Moses, Ademola Lookman, Emile Smith Rowe, Jake Clarke-Salter, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Marcus Bettinelli, Ryan & Steven Sessegnon, Patrick Robert's, Nathaniel & Trevor Chalobah, Jonathan Panzo, Eddie Nketiah. Even the likes of the emerging talent Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho came up from playing local park football and playing on the housing estate. All of these players came through locally and made it to a top Premiership club, 5 out of those 18 players coming from Croydon.
